Alexandra was born and raised on the Upper West Side and attended PS6 and later Hunter College High School on the Upper East Side. After 20 years in Manhattan (interrupted by a few years in college and on the west coast) she moved to Brooklyn where she lives now.

Alexandra knows both Brooklyn and Manhattan like the back of her hand and enjoys creating unique opportunities for clients on both sides of the bridge. Using a combination of creative street smarts, up-to-the-minute information, years of experience and keen critical analysis, Alexandra Florio has consistently provided impressive and measurable results to both her buyers and sellers.

Alexandra received dual BAs from Wellesley College in Political Science and Anthropology and serves as the co-chair of The Seven Sisters Alumni Association. She is the proud mother of two spirited teenagers. Her daughter attends Brooklyn Tech in Fort Greene, and her son has recently graduated from Bard High School in Manhattan. She is conversant in French, German and Italian and studied Arabic during a year abroad in Egypt. When not working she enjoys cooking, meditating, writing and dancing, and volunteers with The Democratic Socialists of America’s Housing Committee.

Before joining the real estate industry Alexandra ran a corporation providing wellness services to private clients in their homes. Among her company's many discerning customers was the Editor in Chief of Fitness Magazine. Anyone who knows Alexandra personally is familiar with her exceptionally high standards, profound respect for her customers, and her drive to create a superior experience. "Customers are psychic. You must get to know them, care about them, and add honest value every day," she says.

Because she has a ridiculous amount of energy, when Alexandra is not actively managing client’s purchases or sales, she also runs a small marketing company, Small Business Giant. Alexandra feels that having responsibility for several entrepreneur’s interests while she works actively for her real estate clients keeps her energized, organically networked within NYC, and enriches her real estate client’s experience because it provides them with access to enhanced marketing and special support from local businesses.

Alexandra prides herself on being able to meet any client’s needs. For customers who prefer their purchase or sale securely managed without having to be involved in the day-to-day details, Alexandra’s commitment to total transparency, years of experience, and better-than-average instincts, allow her to handle the entire process with confidence. Likewise, for clients who prefer to participate actively at every step, she is always delighted to explain the market and offer expert guidance so that they feel confident in their decisions. She is committed to serving every customer with total loyalty and integrity and feels passionately about offering obvious, measurable, results and advantages in every transaction.

"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."
